Thanks, Jabier - yes, that is one way to copy plugins when the page already exists.

I think I see now when the 'Edit' icon was greyed out for you. You were already in edit mode ;-)

The two things you'd have needed to do would have been: - edit page settings - from language dropdown, select 'copy all plugins from English'.
