Re: [Inkscape-translator] about galician translation
Hi, I'm translating a .po file that I downloaded from the svn directly.
That .po file has strings that I couldn't find in Inkscape, for example some strings tell about "flowed text".
It's possible that the .po file of the svn have strings that are included on the development version but not on the stable ones?? I'm using the 0.44 version.
Thanks, Leandro Regueiro
Hi Leandro, I'm the spanish translator for the Inkscape po (there are other people doing the tutorials) and I'm also from Galicia. Feel free to contact me personally if you have any doubts translating.

Hello, I don't have to remember you that if you are from Galicia, you should be translating to galician. Why you didn't updated the galician translation regularly?
Oh, it's only a joke ;-)
Thanks. The main doubt I have is the last one I've posted. Because on the po are some strings that doesn't be on the program? and because I can't translate de Effects menu of Inkscape (it isn't on the po file)?

Hi Leandro

Some strings can be "hidden" in the interface : example : - strings displayed in the status bar - error/warning messages - strings only used when using inkscape from the command line - some options/extentions not available on your platform, or with your build etc etc.
Translating Inkscape is really a good way to learn a lot about this fantastic software.

matiphas
PS : "flowed text" string is used in the status bar, as an indication when a flowed text is selected.

The next week I will have my PC with Linux.
