Hi, On the matter of exporting pages to PDF, I have been trying to use the cli without much luck.
I have observed that if you fit the canvas/page to the selection and then save as a pdf (and tick to use the page) then the PDF output works. Any other way and it does not -- for example, if you give an object an ID and then try to save as PDF only that ID, it's blank.
I have many objects --rectangles as pages, with content in each grouped to the rectangle. So, I thought to try the command line for: select an object by ID, fit the page to it and then save a pdf.
Something like this: inkscape --select=bozo --verb=FitCanvasToSelection -C -A out.pdf mysvg.svg
But that gives a blank PDF. The same actions in the gui work fine.
My plan was to then loop that in bash and get a bunch of pageXX.pdf files which I could then join in some way, yet to be grokked.
Anyone have a clue? \d
