Yes, we definitely need a dedicated pdf exporter with transparency support. Maybe Cairo will give us that.
But it's still far from perfect. For example Inkscape saves the font name as "Arial", Scribus expects "Arial Regular". Converting text as path solves the problem.
Yes, that's the next step after "Convert to text" does not work. But in any case, flowed text is pretty much Inkscape-only feature at the moment.
Do you know a command how to convert all texts as path without select all texts manually?
When you're saving as EPS, you're given an option for that.
