Clickable, JS manipulated, SVGs can be used with the SVG animation libraries. You address the SVG objects by name. My
project went fallow a while back , but at the time I used jQuery. There are two other frameworks too. Beware no two
browsers support SVG exactly alike, and IE may still be broken, I don't know.

I can't tell if this would work for you though.
