Hey All, I wonder: is it possible to this in Inkscape?
So basically you want to get an array of photos and map them to a sphere... AFAIK you can't to this with Inkscape. I would use GIMP for the task.

It's really too bad that Inkscape doesn't have a way to deform a raster image in a like manner as Xara's mold tool or Gimp's perspective tool. Something dynamic. Would be rather handy. Perhaps someday. :)
