Hi folks, I have a problem. Whenever I try to run Inkscape on my iBook G4 with Mac OSX Tiger (after correctly install the X11 window manager - is it a window manager? I don't really know -) i receive an alert saying:
Font caches may need to be updated There is a problem on OSX 10.4.x where X11 installation does not always generate the necessary fontconfig caches. This can be corrected by running /usr/X11R6/bin/fc-cache as root.
I run fc-cache. I retry but nothing changes. So I went on #inkscape@...1099... to ask for help. The told me a solution:
Manually create a dir called ~/.fonts, symlink my fontts into there, then create ~/.fonts.conf, then run fc-cache.
Tried. Nothing changed. I have to give up? Someone has ideas?
Lovely yours, Urli T.
