Two points:
* Microsoft don't plan to update their browser for years.
* SVG appears to work badly, rather than failing altogether, in IE. (I think, it may have been the Adobe plugin.)
it's a cool enough technology for me to warrant a "get a real browser" blurb on pages that use SVG. I can't wait!
Please don't. This will be perceived as arrogance; it won't convince people to change browsers, it'll convince them to change websites.
For those that don't have an SVG enabled Firefox package in their distro, there are some builds here that you can grab.
Not everybody likes doing that (it's messy) :-(
