SVG 1.1 is natively sRGB. Even if a UI presents you with CMYK to pick the color, Inkscape is currently using sRGB triplets to store.

However, I'm winding up changes that will allow us to use icc-color(...) to preserve 4 channel info with sRGB triplets for fallback.


2. Are there workarounds to preserve CMYK colors on save/export?


Once icc-color() is supported, using a CMYK ICC profile should allow that. And the Scribus will work on picking things up from there.
