Unfortunately that svg file contains only linked images from your computer which nobody else can see. They are as follows:
C:\Users\Turner\Documents\Crafts\Signature\signature 201.png
D:\MY Stamps\2010 DESIGNS\Signature\image2580.png
C:\Users\Turner\Documents\Crafts\Signature\inkscape_pasted_image_20111207_225137.png
You need to look at those images and see which is the right one.
Best wishes,
John

Hi Joanne. If you post what you have, I will do my best to re-vectorise it for you (without the date). Then you can keep it in a safe place and use it in Inkscape for your future projects.

Joanne wrote that she didn't have the SVG file any more and the implication was that she only has a PNG. In that case Gimp, Paint Shop Pro or another raster editor is the only way forward. Best wishes, John On 29/04/2016 01:53, Brynn wrote:
If the image is still in a vector format, and if you can give us a link to the SVG file, we can tell you specifically how to do it. Covering it up with another object can come back to haunt you later, sometimes, depending on what might need to do with it in the future. If the image is no longer vector, you will probably need to use a raster editor (such as GIMP) to remove it. I have not used it for a while but would like to delete the date on it and keep the rest. A lovely user of this forum did it for me once but do you think I can find the file ? of course not, lol. Is there any way I can just use a shape, circle perhaps, in white and lay it over the date so it will not show ? I could then save it as a jpg rather than a png and use it. thanks for any advice, Joanne ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find and fix application performance issues faster with Applications Manager Applications Manager provides deep performance insights into multiple tiers of your business applications.
