If the tooltip is not visible for some reason (It should be visible, if not please report an issue on https://inkscape.org/report), Inkscape also has a shortcuts list that you can view (and also change the shortcuts) in the Preferences dialog.
Go to Edit menu > Preferences > Interface :: Keyboard. That subdialog has a Search text field. If you type "text tool", you'll find the corresponding shortcut.

To anewbie all those icons get confusing, so I'm looking for way to use thetext tool from the menu system, and couldn't find it. I know I can alsopress the t key, but this isn't really discoverable either. How do you invoke the Text Tool from the menu system? Thanks,SteveTSteve Litthttp://444domains.com_______________________________________________Inkscape Users mailing list -- inkscape-user@lists.inkscape.orgTo unsubscribe send an email to inkscape-user-leave@lists.inkscape.org
