[Inkscape-user] Kerning - Do other application act on it?

Hi folks,

I've done some manual kerning in an Inkscape SVG document. When I view that document in Firefox or import it in Gimp, the kerning appears to be ignored. Is this a known issue? Sorry, I couldn't find anything on this.

Not sure in any case if this would be a bug in Inkscape or in the rendering application. Bitmap exports from Inkscape are fine.
