Resent since original had a large image which needed the
moderator.
I am trying to simulate what would be the effect of using wood veneers in a design created using Inkscape.
I know I can create a design with a number of closed areas so that all I have to do is to select a particular area and then choose a colour to fill that area.
The picture below shows a selection of typical veneers I want to show. As can be seen the veneers are not a flat colour. Is there any way I can used a scanned image of the veneer so that I can see the variation of colour when I use this to fill a selected area of my design?
