Hey Folks,
I'm wondering how can I install Inkscape in English on a Spanish Windows version. Any ideas?
Easiest way is to not install the Spanish translation at all and let the default English show through. (The option to install or leave out translations was added to the installer recently.)
You could also move or remove the spanish translation file (probably named es.po) and it should have the same effect. There is another method involving setting the locale variable on the command line but that is not usually worth the extra effort.
I'm surprised how often people want to use applicitions in English even though they use their Operating System through their own language. Is this because the translations are not good enough? (No offense to the translators I understand how difficult translation work can be.)
