Hey folks,
I just unplugged a 2nd monitor from my laptop and re-configured my display to see just the main monitor. Everything works fine accept that when ever I try and bring up the 'fill and stroke' or the 'font' dialog using the key stroke sequence of (Shift+Ctrl+F) or (Shift+Ctrl+T), its like Inkscape still thinks I have a 2nd monitor up and does not display these items on the main screen- they are hidden and unusable. Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, is there an easy solution?
Try this one :
1- (In Windows) Open a window and click the upper left corner to open the window-menu, (just on the Inkspape icon).
2- Now try to open the window-menu with the keyboard short-cut (in the italian version of Xp you need to type Alt+spacebar) and use arrows keys to highlight the move command.
3- Press Enter. Now use arrows keys to move the window. When finished press enter again to attach the window.
4- In both cases 1 or 2, you can see where is the command to move the window (in the italian version of Xp it is the second).
5- Open now the window you need to see. If it is out the screen you can move it into using the same keyboard short-cut and other steps as written from 2 to 4
