Hi all,
I just downloaded the latest packages for GIMP on Windows. GIMP and GTK have two separate installers and GTK installs itself in the Common Files directory. Now: I was wondering if it would be possible for Inkscape to use that GTK installation. I'm not a friend of duplicate files even if they're small.
Actually - as far as I know - development versions of Gimp come already bundled with all the GTK files in them, so in the future (gimp 2.4 and onward) I expect it's going to be Gimp that will follow Inkscape in not relying on an external GTK installation. And for a good reason (Which Aaron explained).
