Does anyone know what's so difficult about text markup in inkscape? I mean in Scribus, which also works with svg, subscript, superscript and many other stuff is possible.
I am planning on working on the text tool for GSoC. Sub/superscript is already on the todo list :-). I'll try to make a wiki page soon where you can add your ideas.
