All of which is a complicated way to say "please use the actual extents of what is drawn, rather than pretending that some notional paper size is more important".
I'd like that option for the SVG, as well.
Selecting a paper size is a legacy from the origin of illustration tools. Sometimes its still relevant, but often its not.
