Here&#39;s my thoughts on your issue.&nbsp; <br><br>I think you want to use pattern along path to solve this.&nbsp; This is what you need to realize thought.&nbsp; Your pattern along path will not define a &quot;fillable&quot; border.&nbsp; The pattern along path will be its own shape with it&#39;s own fill and stroke properties.&nbsp; You can make it look like it&#39;s filled by putting color behind it.&nbsp; 
<br><br>I&#39;ve attached an example.<br><br>1. Make square with rectangle tool. <br>2. Object to path.<br>3. Draw bezier curve.<br>4. Group Paths.<br>5. Make &quot;brush&quot; - circle tool, object to path, add lots of nodes.&nbsp;
