I have a large number of documents in subfolders inside a main folder. Each subfolder name is 16-17 characters long and when a document with a new ID is created, it needs a new subfolder. I use the 'Create Folder' button which works fine and allows me to name it correctly, but it then returns me to the folder list which is very large and I then have to find the new folder. Is it possible to automatically enter the newly created folder, that is why the folder is created after all? This may seem a long way to handle this but there is a good reason for doing so :-)
I agree it would be much better, but it's not something Inkscape does; this functionality is provided by the GTK library we use. You could try contacting GTK developers at their mailing list, see http://gtk.org/mailinglists.html.
