[Inkscape-user] Trying to open an old .ai file

Dear all,

I am running Inkscape 1.4 (e7c3feb1, 2024-10-09) under Mac OS 15.3.2 (Sequoia). Since moving to Sequoia I can’t open my own legacy .ai files. Inkscape simply says “unable to load”. The file opens in jumpshare.com http://jumpshare.com/, more or less, but I can’t do anything with it there.

Any thoughts about how to get access to these old files?
