not sure if this is what you mean, but this is a manual, old-school, geometry-based, visual method of finding the centre:
if you know the diameter of the circle (the w width in inkscape), then draw a horizontal line line that long. drop it across the circle, so the ends are on the edge. do the same with a vertical line.
where they cross is the centre of the circle.
as i said, this is manual, but it should give you a good idea as to where the centre is.
if you need the exact co-ordinates of the centre, then you should be able to do it from the x,y, w, h details of the circle. x + half w, y+ half h.
