On my system, tour target PNG (viewed with eog) looks identical with what Inkscape renders - http://nicubunu.ro/pictures/powercraft.png The PDF (viewed with evince) is not identical but very similar with what Inkscape sees (probably because the PDF was created with Distiller) http://nicubunu.ro/pictures/powercraft1.png

My best guess: you don't have the correct font installed on your system.
