[Inkscape-user] crappy image scaling

Is it a bug or a feature that inkscape can't upsample an embedded raster image? also if an image is rotated it doesn't get done very well (do the same rotation in the gimp and it will be nice and smooth)

FYI batik handles upsampling and rotation nicely, although the build I'm using doesn't seem to antialias the edges of images :(

Any idea when this will be implemented in inkscape? should i file a bug?
