[Inkscape-user] text on trace

Hi people !

With my Inkscape ver. 0.42+0.43pre1 (Oct 26 2005) I can't fully control the command "text on trace". As you can see I can put it on the up side of the curve (inserting spaces before the string) but I can't do the same with the bottom side (see the attached picture)

It's the same with newer versions of Inkscape ?

Do you know an alternative way to do what I need ?
