-GENERAL DISCUSSION- I am sorry, I don't havea real answer, but together with the other discussion going on at the same time, I`d say that this question is not so off-topic. In general "we" (the human race, I mean, especially those NOT using Corel) is in dire need of a tool that that would allow for "tiled" printing of documents bigger then A4, which is typically what you want to do here... In Inkscape it could involve some smart cropping and/or slicing and/or printing.
-SUGGESTION 1 : CREATE SLICES- Which makes me think of a crude sollution to your problem: create in an extra layer (on top of the rest) a series of tiled, transparant rectangles (if you're smart, using "tiled clones"). Select a rectangle, choose export -> selection. Repeat this for each tile, hence creating a series of tiles that can be printed individually.
-SUGGESTION 2 : MAKE A POSTER IN pICASA - Another option, -again-, you could try is: importing the file in Picassa. Then choose to make a poster out of it, magnification MUCH. Now, trow away all the empty tiles/pcitures and print out the remaining.
By the way, people, excuses for my childish previous post.

Hi!
I know it is a bit offtopic, but maybe somebody can help me out there.
I want to print an inkscape tutorial (hence the inkscape mailing list;), but none of the programs is capable to do it. Here is the original image: http://ic3.deviantart.com/fs13/f/2007/113/7/3/a_Quick_Guide_to_Inkscap e_by_microUgly.png
I tried firefox, but prints only the first page, so the image is cutted at the top.
And after that: gimp (with gimp-print plugin), gthumb, inkscape,
evince.
None of them was I successful.
Any ideas?
Yes, what a great guide microUgly put together. Personally, I wouldn't try printing it. I would just keep the image on my pc and reference it.
