Provided you have access to Illustrator (and not just the brush files), yes.
In Illustrator, start a new document and drag-n-drop your desired brush into it. Save as an SVG and import into Inkscape.
Before you can use the brush object on a path you may need to fiddle with it a bit because 'Pattern along path' expects a path not an object. For my test I had to ungroup the brush and combine it (for some reason 'union' made the brush complete disappear). This got me an inverted path (the pattern was cut out from a solid background) so I had to draw another shape and use 'difference' to get it back to how the brush should have been.
There might be an easier way.
Hm... I wish there was a brush tool in Inkscape :) It would certainly be easir to use than "Pattern along path". Is such a tool in the current development roadmap?
