Sorry, I thought you were asking if I *could*. I can also zoom in/out with the +/- keys. But that's not the problem with 1024×768 - it's that I can't distinguish any details, be it in Inkscape or in any other program. In particular, text is unreadable. That's why I'm stuck with 800×600.
