really help some tasks like web page design, etc. Yes, there are many shortcuts, but after watching my girlfriend use Inkscape, especially after usign Illustrator, I notice how much she uses the menu and buttons and does not use shortcuts.

i agree. everything should be accesible trough both. it'd be better for the experieced users and for novices...
