Not that it really matters to me either way, but why build from source when you can get it already built for ya? Are you modifying the code to suit your needs?

I'm building from source now, but my build has some issues, it seems
(image loading doesn't work). I guess I can check the latest
development build to see if things like that are an issue in the code
or just in my build of it. So good to know they're out there.
And to think, just a few days ago I was absolutely
certain that
Inkscape didn't even run on Windows.
