Hi all ya devs - any word on a .deb yet? *Wrings hands and hopes*
Try the autopackage file it's worked like a charm for quite a while on my Ubuntu box.
Why not visit http://inkscape.org/download.php with a link to autopackage.org where a very concise and tiny list of things to do before being able to install is displayed.
