I have a problem with scaling fonts (I am using Inkscape .45 on Ubunty Feisty).
1) Imagine you write some text in fontsize 32.
2) Then you scale the text object without keeping the aspect ration the same. For example you make it smaller
3) Then you select the text object. You will see that the size is smaller, it might be, say 30.2.
4) Then you decide that the text object should be 32. Then you select the text icon on the left and select 32.
5) NOW THE PROBLEM HAPPENS: Inkscape says that the text is 32, but it still keeps the wrong aspect ratio.
Of course, you might wonder why this is a problem. What happens is that I need to rescale multiple objects (in step 2, not just text objects) and then afterwards select all text objects and set them to the intended point size.
Inkscape seems to keep track of the transformation scale matrix and the aspect ratio. I am sure that has a purpose. But what if I want to say that a text object which has been scaled and transformed multiple time should have a particular font size. That seems impossible right now. Can anybody help me how I could resolve this problem?
Thanks for your help!
