When I do File->Print on my drawing, which is defined as landscape letter in File->Document_Properties, no dialog box is displayed. Instead, the printer asks me to insert A4, and when I put a letter page in the manual tray, it prints the drawing landscape,cutting off the right side of the drawing. The printer prints in duplex mode even though my default printer (lp) is defined as duplex off.
When I do File->Print_Direct, a dialog box is displayed to allow me to define my print command, and when I set it to:
lpr -P lp_dark
the page prints exactly as expected. Therefore this isn't urgent, but as something unexpected I figured a report might be in order.
I'm using the Inkscape 0.44 that came with my Mandriva 2007 Linux. My printer is an HP4050, which has postscript and does duplexing. Some of my printer definitions are from the CUPS database, while others (like lp_dark) are from the CD that came with the printer, suitably configured in CUPS. Here's some other info on my setup:
