No it cannot, and in general it does not have a command line interface worth speaking about. Remember, it comes from Windows :)

My experience has been exactly opposite. Potrace does wonderful job on simple images like logos, whereas with Xara's tracer I was never able to get acceptable results and in most cases found it easier just to trace a bitmap by hand using Pen.
