Sorry that is not currently possible in Inkscape.
The SVG specification only includes Linear and Radial gradients at the moment and the same is true for Inkscape. There are plenty of requests for more gradients (please see the Request Tracker) and there has even been discussion about asking the writers of the SVG specification to include more gradient types (mentioned on the developer list last month I think).
