If you are a student that is eligible to qualify as an applicant for the Google Summer of Code, and have an interest in getting paid to contribute to Inkscape, well, this is for you.
We do ask that if you are not really committed to seeing a project through to completion that you please not waste anyone's time (including your own).
The link for applicants is: http://groups.google.com/group/google-summer-of-code-announce/web/guide-to-t...
(wow, that's a long url)
Just so all applicants are aware, we do have an additional condition (above Google's) for all applicants. The condition is that two patches are contributed via our patch tracker prior to acceptance (doesn't need to be anything major). The patches can be bug fixes, filling feature requests, or even scratching some itch of your own for Inkscape. Please know that this condition is standard for our project for all new contributors to get SVN commit access, we've just extended it to the applicants this year as well.
Good luck everyone and we look forward to hearing from you!
