Inkscape Users,
I had a few more beginners questions.
#1 - If I have drawn to overlapping shapes, is there a way to combine them into one shape?
you need to do a union, select both then do Ctrl + + (or Path -> union)
#2 - When I drew a circle or ellipse it had a dark black border. Can you change the color of this border?
Thats the stroke, in the fill + stroke dialog (Shift+Ctrl+F) go to the stroke paint tab, you can turn it off or change its color, on the stroke style tab you can change its width.
#3 - When I try to apply a gradient fill to a shape, the color changes to shades of black, grey, and white. Is there something I need to change to apply gradient fills in color?
In the Fill+Stroke dialog on the gradient tab theres an edit button, this allows you to pick the start and end colors and their level of alpha.
#4 - Is there a way to change the rotation angle of text?
select it, then click it again. the scale arrows should change to rotate angles. if you hold ctrl down while rotating it will lock to 15 degree increments.
Thanks for any suggestions. I appreciate any help.
