[Inkscape-user] Nodes (Midpoints, Intersections, Quadrants)

Hi, I just started using Inkscape and I must say, it is a wonderful problem. I am switching from Corel Draw and I miss the nodes such as midpoints, intersections, quadrants....even the nodes on the corners of objects. Is this in the works for Inkscape? Or, it is there and I just can't figure it out?
