[Inkscape-user] who makes Inkscape's icons?

Hi Friends, Mostly out of curiosity, I wonder who makes Inkscape's icons? Is there usually one person who does it? Or does whoever creates tools or features have the honor or responsibility to make the icons? I know that it's possible to use different or custom icon sets, if one either wants to create their own, or they install some that someone else made. But who creates the icons that ship with Inkscape? I guess I'm talking about .../share/icons/icons.svg.
