however one time-proven method is to send hardware. I would bet that sending an Intuos to one of the developers would help motivate them to troubleshoot it.

As far as I can gather from jiho's reply, my actual objective is even more out of sight than I thought, and I need to sort out my short-time workflow first. But I'll get back to that idea later, just don't hold your breath... :)
