I am working in Inkscape 0.42 (autopackage and apt installed on 2 Ubuntu linux boxes (autopackage is hoary, apt is breezy)).
With a .svg file exported from paths in Gimp 2.2.8, on both installations, the stroke width dialogue behaves strangely, incrementing the stroke width only upwards by large amounts and then locking out at 1000.0 px. Width then is adjustable just by entering a number rather than the using the scrolls and even then it goes to a different value than the one entered.
This behaviour goes away if I import the file into Scribus and reset the stroke width (Scribus behaves properly on this) and then export it and then open in Inkscape. This does not happen if svg file is Inkscape created.
I have looked at bugs but nothing seen. Before I submit, is this behaviour known?
Thanks in advance for any insights,
R
