Please attach. I've seen attachments as large as 560KBytes. There is no policy as to how large.
Really? EVERY time I see that there has been an attachment it gets removed somewhere. I have YET to see an attachment get through. In fact, when there was an attachment it says, "Attachment Removed" or scrubbed or something like that.
If you can, that's cool though. I'm just saying that I haven't seen it.
Well, I've already sent an email with attached images (~90kb), let's see what happens...
Some people have voiced opinions in the past against image attachments, but the fact remains that we are a graphical community and a picture is worth at least 1000 words. Links are preferred netiquette of course, but if you have no other facilities at your disposal and you can deal with the vocal minority who may very well condemn you, please shoot us an image. :-)
I like your concept. I find that with our default gradient running from opaque to transparent I almost always have to enter the dialog choose the stop and then modify the alpha value. We also get frequent questions asking how to change that transparent stop. Your idea makes this much clearer for the user. These problems are to a large extent mitigated by the on canvas gradient stop editing that is available in the SVN version. (If you haven't yet seen it, you should really check it out.) I've heard talk about removing the dialog all together. If we keep the dialog it might be very nice to incorporate such a gradient editor.
