Hey inkscape-user mailing list,
In light of the Figma acquisition by Adobe, I've been thinking of Inkscape. Since 1.0, the user experience has greatly improved, and this has me wondering: what has changed that enabled this rapid development? I remember Inkscape being stuck on some version for years, hardly progressing for whatever reasons. Now I feel more than ever Inkscape could use development resources. As a FOSS enthusiast I feel knowing its history could help getting into its development, giving context to what exists today and less questioning about decisions made along the way.
Thank you very much,
Lee
