[Inkscape-user] Transparency and printing or pdf export

Hi, I'm trying to print a file created with Incscape (Inkscape 0.43+devel, built May 31 2006) but I can't get it to take in account the transparency, either in direct printing, pdf export (or ps either).

I know I can export in bitmap, but sadly my printer has only 2m of memory and I can't print big bitmap files.

Does anyone has a solution (possibly involving another program to print the svg)?
