I watched the youtube (linked from the release notes) but it does not match what I see on my end.

Steps:

1. Draw a few circles. Group them. Select the group.

2. Open Path Effects window. Add "Perspective/Envelope".
3. Switch to the node tool (manually).
4. Drag the corners around.

It:
1. Only affects one thing in the group.
2. or crashes Inkscape.

3. or does nothing. The group remains the same.
