Does not have _what_ problem? There's no opacity in PS, and even Adobe cannot do anything about it. They may be rasterizing images for EPS, though, which in my opinion is a "solution" which is worse than the original problem.
Some postscript implementations these days contain PDF-like operators for alpha compositing; I believe Adobe's may be one of them. It is not a standard part of the Postscript specification, however.
