Anyway, I imagined a feature in inkscape where you could have a palette of SVG shapes/clipart that you could drag-off into your diagram, I guess this is much like Visio.
Do you want a clipart browser [1] or a scrapbook [2]? :)

Probably more like [2].
I imagine it that you would make almost your whole diagram from piecing together bits from the palette of objects. (like building a circuit diagram, or flowchart)
