[Inkscape-user] How to export a pattern filled-shape to be imported correctly by Adobe Illustrator and Firefox

Hi!

What is the way AI and Firefox to understand pattern fills of objects, created in Inkscape? I can't achieve this, getting no fill at all when opening in AI or Firefox. I've noticed that the image itself is not embedded inside the SVG. Is there a way to embed it inside? Maybe some Inkscape options that I didn't find?
