[Inkscape-user] Who is Tavmjong Bah aka Stephen Schrenk of Inkscape tutorial fame?

Is this the same Steve Schrenk of baseball fame?? How did he come upon the nom de plume of Tavmjong Bah?? I've Googled and Wikipedia'd for all I'm worth and can't find anything about this apparently very creative individual.? Amongst other things, he's also crafted some Arev fonts, whatever they are.
