What I right now miss the most from Adobe Illustrator is how the pencil tool works. In Inkscape I can continue a stroke from the pencil in its ends, but in Illustrator I can make changes to all parts of the selected line directly with the pencil tool which creates a very fast work-flow.
Switch to Node tool (F2) for editing a path.
